Currently studying in Universitas Pelita Harapan, she concentrates in Vocal Studies of Pop and Jazz Music Performance. Her vocal has been trained under the guidance of several qualified lecturers such as Stanley Daniel Tangkilisan, Indra Aziz, Cassia Agatha, Sarita Wurangian, Julianne Olson and Angela July. She performed in several well-known music events such as Bekasi Jazz Festival, Java Jazz Festival, etc. Her academic background pushes her to share the knowledge with other people.

vocal coachYasinta Haris was born in 1996 to a family who loves music, and since her early age, music and singing has always been her passion in life. She started taking vocal lessons and joining singing competitions at the age of 10, since then, she has never stop singing and learning to be better at it. Her love and passion of music then brought her into choosing music as her major in university. In 2014, she got accepted into the voice major of Jazz and Pop Performance concentration in the Conservatory of Music Universitas Pelita Harapan. At the conservatory, she studied with amazing vocal lecturers such as Sarita Wurangian, Cassia Agata, and Josephine Polim, and she also learned from other lecturers and notable musicians such as Dion Janapria, Indrawan Tjhin, Sri Hanuraga, Robert Mulyarahardja, Boby Limijaya, etc. University life has opened the opportunity for Yasinta to sing at various of jazz venues and other gigs, such as Freedom Jazz, TP Jazz Bandung, Braga Jazz, and much more. In 2015, she also joined a female acapella group at campus. Together, in 2017, they won 2 gold medals and was qualified for grand prix in Acapella category in Bali International Choir Festival, while competing against hundreds of other groups. Since graduating university in July 2018, Yasinta Haris has now been working on pursuing her teaching career and her personal projects, and is currently now working on releasing her own songs to public.

GERRY HERB, a well known indonesian drummer who love all kind of music, for him music is everything, his favorite quotes is ‘Dont limit yourself, just play what you are’. Born on April 27th and play as a profesional Drummer since 1988 with a local band played in all around Indonesia & Singapore. In 1995 he joined a band called Nugie & alv and recorded 5 albums. At that time he was endorsed by Premier drums, using a Genista classic series. Still in the same year, he play with a pop rock band called KIN and recorded 3 albums. He also busy as a session player for live performance and studio recording, like in 2003 playing double drums with Uce Hariono (RIP) at Chrisye ‘Badai Pasti berlalu’ concert, 2005 at Yovie Widianto’s ‘Irreplaceable’ concert and do some recording with Indonesian Famous artist: Katon Bagaskara, Andre Hehanusa, Andien, Raisa, Ari Lasso, Chrisye, Marcell, etc. At 2004 he joined ‘Krakatau band’ an ethno fusion band who play Indonesian traditional music mix with jazz. They do a North merica and Canada tour for more than 1,5 months. Many stages impressed the audiences like: Toronto Jazz Festival, Vancouver Jazz Festival, Kennedy Centre NY, 2006. They also do an european tour, and the stages are North Sea Jazz Festival, Mountreux Jazz Festival, Gallapagos Jazz Fest, and Alkantara Jazz. Since 2004 – 2014 he was endorsed by Mapex drums (Orion & Saturn series) and Zildjian cymbals. Now he endorsed by Gretsch drums and Meinl cymbals. He was a pretty busy musician right now, playing as an additional player for a pop rock band called ‘Yovie and The Nuno’, still hot with Krakatau ethno and his free jazz group called ABG trio (Arief Setiadi/Sax, Bintang Indrianto/Bass, Gerry Herb/Drums), perform as a home band for a weekly tv programme ‘Idenesia’, MetroTV. He also a chief drum Instructure at Farabi ‘Dwiki Dharmawan’ music centre and Yovie Music School in Jakarta.

- Iwan Pauldrum instructor
Iwan Paul discovered his love in music at the age of 12 as he started to learn & play drums for school events. Then he became a self-taught rock guitarist and actively performed in numerous events during his high school and college years.
He graduated with Bachelor of Social Science degree from University of Indonesia, and worked as a writer at several mass media and advertising companies for few years, until his passion for music brought him back to his true vocation.
He decided to pursue a career in music and learned to play drums again. He took lessons
from senior drummers like Inang Noorsaid & Sandy Andarusman, before ended up learning with Aksan Sjuman—one of the finest Indonesian drummers/musicians. In 2011, he took Professional Program study (a 3-year bachelor degree equivalent program) at Sjuman School of Music, majoring drums and composition, and graduated in 2014.
He has played drums professionally ever since, both in band and orchestra. Once in a while he would also work on music composition/arrangement. Currently he teaches at Sjuman School of Music, Music Republicain, and D’Jazz Music School.

bass coachBarry Likumahuwa was born in a musicians family. Since 4 years old he already could play a trumpet, but finally he choose bass as his major instrument.
In 2006-2008 he was endorsed by Cort, and recently he is endoresed by G&L Bass, Gallien Krueger Amps, Digitech Pedals & DR Strings.
On November 2006 he and some talented musicians gathered in a band called Barry Likumahuwa Project. They already play in various Jazz event such as : JakJazz Festival, Java Jazz Festival, Soul For Indonesian Earth, Jazz at the Bimasena, Jazz Goes To Campus, Taichung International Jazz Festival, Bangkok Jazz Festival & Ambon Jazz Plus Festival. Recently Wesley is in his campus big band, lead by Boby Limijaya and play with band in some Jazz events in Jakarta and also in other city in Indonesia.

Joshua Alexander has been playing instruments since he was 10 years old. He focus on learning electric bass on junior high. He decided to focus on classical double bass at Perguruan Cikini Music School, Jakarta. There are some of his favorite genres such as classic, jazz, R n B, soul & gospel. Few years back he has got the opportunities to perform with some of Indonesian Jazz Musician such as Glenn Dauna, Benny Likumahua, Batman Quartet, DuaEmpat Music, Ade Irawan & Devian Zikri Fifth Invetsion, Eddy Syakroni Quartet, Oele Pattiselanno, etc. Not only that he also play with Maudy Ayunda, Dea Dalila, Chiki Fawzu, Nonaria, Adhitia Sofyan, Vira Talisa, Senar Senja, etc. He’s currently playing together with some orchestras such as Tya Subiakto Orchestra, Boby Limijaya Orchestra, Hanny & Co Orchestra, PG Cikini Symphony Orchestra, and last but not least Gita Bahana Nusantara Orchestra.

Misi Lesar started to play in a band when she was in senior high school. Always knowing music was her biggest passion in life, Misi decided to attend one of a few jazz and popular music university in Indonesia, Conservatory Of Music UPH. She studied with the best jazz guitarist in Indonesia, such as Dion Janapria, Robert Mulyarahardja and Johanes Radianto. After graduating from Conservatory of Music UPH, she has had the opportunity to meet, play with and learn from experienced musicians. At the beginning of 2017, she soon started leading her own groups/duo called “Dua Empat”. They have a new album that released by the end of January. She also has played at some of event and jazz festival in Indonesia.

He finished his postgraduate study from Institut Kesenian Jakarta, and Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht, The Netherland for bachelor in Music and Arts Education. As a reputable musician, in 2017 he initiated, curated and edited book of Antologi Musik Jazz & Populer Indonesia, and established Gulir Bunyi; an independent education program in Jakarta heavily based in public workshop, sound painting and participatory music.
His teaching apprentices as guitar coach & music instructor consist of Gerald Situmorang (Bara Suara), Alvin Ghazalie & Mission Lesar (Dua Empat), Reney Karamoy (Scaller), Nathania Jualim, Tino Hutabarat, Echa Soemantri, Yasinta Pattiasina (NonaRia) , Kevin Yosua, and many more.

In 2011, He received the North American Tour Scholarship from Berklee College of Music, which allows him to have the excellent opportunity of studying at one of the best music colleges in the world. Berklee has also given many great opportunities to study with great teachers such as JoAnne Brackeen, Laszlo Gardony, Dave Santoro, Greg Osby, Hal Crook, Ed Tomassi, Shannon LeClaire, Ralph Peterson, etc. He also received the LPDP Scholarship to continue his master’s study at New York University which really helped him to expand more of his musical ability. While in New York, he had many great opportunities in performing and recording with great jazz giants such as Peter Bernstein, Adam Rogers, David Pietro, etc.

She received an appreciation from SMYMJ as a high scorer for Piano in 2003 and finished her final grade in Music Education (ME III) at Sekolah Musik Yayasan Musik Jakarta (SMYMJ) in 2010. Nanetta got scholarship in Music Therapy Concentration at Conservatory of Music – Universitas Pelita Harapan under the guidance of Mrs. Amelia Delfina Kho, MA as the Music Therapy oordinator and continue her piano studies under the guidance of Mr. Mamoru Yabuki (Japan). In 2013, Nanetta graduated her Bachelor of Music with cum laude and serve as a semi-full time lecturer and Academic Advisor in Music Therapy at Conservatory of Music – Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH). She has been working in several fields in Music Therapy with the special needs, early childhood, teenager, adult, and elderly. She had developed her love for music and piano from her ears. Since childhood, she was exposed to songs from her parents’ collections or radios, and playing along with them. When she reached eventh grade, she was exposed to jazz and was intrigued to dig more about jazz. In high school, she went to contemporary music schools in Jakarta, Farabi and D’Jazz. From there, she met her band mates, West Funk Rhythm, and they played at jam sessions and jazz venues, inside and outside Jakarta. In 2015, she got accepted to Berklee College of Music in Boston and also received the Asia Tour Scholarship and Berklee Achievement Grant. Chika graduated from Berklee in May 2018 with a B.M. in performance, graduated Magna Cum Laude. After graduating, Chika performed at different kinds of events and recording sessions, helping fellow students and musicians with their music. She gigged both as a session player and an artist of her own, playing music ranging from Jazz and Funk to traditional music of her home country, Indonesia.
